Yesterday I had a great time shopping with my friends. I left my house at 3 a.m. and came back around 3 p.m. (Whew!) Today was supposed to be "cleaning" day. Hmmmm...it is now 2:30 and not one thing done yet. I need to get things picked up so we can get the Christmas tree put up. I have sooo.. much stuff and many, many papers to be organized. How did it get this bad? Two of my four kids are home. One is at Grandma's house and one is at a friend's house.

If only I could look so happy while cleaning the bathroom!

Getting ready for Thanksgiving! We are going to my Mom's house. I am making cheesy potatoes which are sooo... good but not good for you. They are made with hash brown potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, butter, salt/pepper, and topped off with corn flake crumbs shaken with melted butter! O.K. I will need some extra time at the gym this week.

Brrr...it's cold outside!! I have a sick child home with me today (fever) I never thought laying on the couch and watching t.v. was a hard thing to do. He keeps getting up and doesn't want to lay there.

Lots of errands to run today. This morning I will be delivering Avon, going to the bank, post office, library and grocery shopping at Wal Mart (Whew!) Michael has his first behind the wheel with a driving instructor today. My Mom invited the kids and myself to sleep over tonight. The kids are so excited! I have been very good about going to the gym every night but tonight I will have to miss. I do like to go every evening at least for an hour or so. Oh well, off to start my day!!

What is the part of you no one sees?

The Part of You That No One Sees
You are passionate, romantic, and emotional.
You put love first in your life, even though you have often been disappointed by it.
You expect to be swept of your feet, and you never expect infatuation to die out.

Underneath it all, you are scared that you aren't lovable.
Your insecurity has ruined many relationships, as you are unable to see the love that's really there.
You are secretly afraid of being alone. Confronting your insecurities is incredibly painful.

What kind of Christmas ornament are you?

You Are a Tree

You love every part of the holidays, down to the candy canes and stockings. And you're goofy enough to put a Christmas tree ornament on your tree!

The smile on your face is the light in the window that tells people that you are at home

There is nothing more beautiful than a rainbow, but it takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow. If life is to be rounded and many- colored like a rainbow, both joy and sorrow must come to it.

The man who deals in sunshine is the man who wins the crowds....

He does a lot more business than the man who peddles clouds

Yeah!! It's snowing!!

May you be showered with blessings
A smile is cheer to you and me
The cost is nothing-it's given free
It comforts the weary-gladdens the sad
Consoles those in trouble-good or bad
To rich and poor-beggar or thief
It's free to all of any belief
A natural gesture of young and old
Cheers on the faint-disarms the bold
Unlike most blessings for which we pray
It's one thing we keep when we give it away.

Laundry day!

o.k. with four kids it's hard to keep up on the laundry and making sure everyone has clean socks and underwear on every morning. It's not the washing that I am not fond of , it's the putting away. Usually it leaves the dryer, ends up on the couch to sort, fold, hang and make it up to each bedroom. Once upatairs, I have to make sure that the kids don't just toss it on the floor and end right back in the dirty pile before even wearing it. (Grrrr.... )

Help! I've fallen off the treadmill and I can't get up!

"We're here to Pump (clap)... you up!" -Hans & Franz

If only this was true!

My new "workout" outfit ( j.k.)

Pumpin' iron

So, last night I went to workout and I really worked up a sweat! I think that was the most I've ever remembered really exercising. I think that when you're young and you have a higher metabolism you don't realize how lucky you are. After staying home and being around a refrigerator all day or taking naps and not getting any exercise really packed on the pounds. Not to mention having four children also. I've struggled with depression and tried therapy and anti-depressants. I feel that working out is the best thing for me. I feel good about myself knowing that I am in control of my results. I still struggle with my appetite but something has got to change. I love knowing that I can go to the gym and make progress day by day. It feels like a door has been opened up for me. Like a gym membership is a new invention and I am taking part in a study. I feel out of touch and sometimes self conscious when everyone there knows how to set their machines and I have to figure out what setting to use. I am huffing and puffing and sweat is running down my forehead. Hey, it's gotta be working right? At first, I felt nervous to go because there was 6 or 7 younger guys (20ish) in there. But the last two nights I went there were more women and it wasn't like a Bally's commercial where everyone had "hard" bodies and skimpy clothing. (Whew! glad I was the only one! hee hee!! ) By nine 'o clock there was only me and one other guy who was running (-yes running) on the treadmill while I was struggling to walk. Geesh! After he left I was able to check out all the other equipment without looking like a dork and see what I was going to try the next night. I think I will work on my abs and chest along with some cycling. I usually go for about an hour to an hour and -a- half but I think it's pretty good for just starting. :)
